Associated Journals

Associated Journals are related to the Transdisciplinary Engineering conference series. Recommended TE conference papers will be invited for extension and submission.

ISTE publications are devoted to the advancement of the science and technology of transdisciplinary engineering with relevant themes through the dissemination of original archival research papers disclosing methodologies, tools, methods, industrial case studies, modelling and research findings. Research in transdisciplinary engineering is expected to embrace the context in which the research takes place, the context in which the results are to be used, as well as  the collaboration needed between various disciplines, technical as well as social science disciplines. Knowledge exchange between the various disciplines is central to transdisciplinary engineering.

The topics include Systems Engineering, Design for sustainability, Product Lifecycle Management, Collaborative Engineering, Cost Engineering, Knowledge Engineering / Management, Engineering Visualization, Managing product variety, Decision Support, Digital Manufacturing, Extended Enterprise, Distributed Engineering, CMMI, Ontologies, Web Technologies, Intellectual Property Protection, Digital Rights Management, Requirements Management, Interoperability, Standards, Long term retention and archiving, Variability Management, Formal Methods in Concurrent Engineering, Measuring/Analyzing Product Variety, etc.

Papers are sought that review in an intensive manner the results of recent research developments on any of the topics listed above.

IJASM is an academic journal published quarterly in March, June, September and December. IJASM addresses agility, responsiveness, competitiveness and management of systems, defined as regularly interacting or interdependent groups of items or bodies forming a unified whole. IJASM highlights systems specified, designed, controlled, implemented, commissioned, operated, serviced or maintained with human and society requirements in mind. Examples include engineering assets, environment, building, transport, computers, supply chains, manufacturing, enterprises, and complex engineering products such as aircraft. IJASM acknowledges the need for better understanding of content/context/processes in systems and their interaction with the ever-changing environment. Authors who are interested in IJASM may contact John Mo (john.mo@rmit.edu.au) and Josip Stjepandic (josip.stjepandic@opendesc.com) for further information.

Advanced computing methods and related technologies are changing the way engineers interact with the information infrastructure. Explicit knowledge representation formalisms and new reasoning techniques are not longer the sole territory of computer science. For knowledge-intensive tasks in engineering, a new philosophy and body of knowledge called Engineering Informatics is emerging. Authors who are interested in ADVEI may contact Amy Trappey (trappey@ie.nthu.edu.tw) for more information.

03

The Journal of Industrial Information Integration focusses on the industry’s transition towards industrial integration and informatization. These topics encompass not only hardware and software, but also information integration. Industrial information integration engineering is an emerging subject. This journal aims to promote and communicate advances in industrial information integration in order to provide insights into challenges, issues, and solutions related to industrial integration and industrial informatization through an interdisciplinary forum for researchers, practitioners, and policy makers.

04

Innovation & Entrepreneurship focuses on the technological innovation and entrepreneurship of the current transition towards industrial integration and informatization. This journal aims to provide insights into challenges, issues, and solutions related to industrial integration and industrial informatization through an interdisciplinary forum for researchers, practitioners, and policy makers from perspectives of innovation and entrepreneurship.

05

(JMA) is a journal focused on the theory of data analytics and its applications in traditional business disciplines. These disciplines include accounting, finance, management, marketing, production/operations management, supply chain management. The interface between data analytics and various business disciplines are of particular interest for this journal. Research methods integral to this journal include, but are not limited to, empirical research, data analytics, big data analytics, data science, operations research, management science, decision science, and simulation modelling.

06

Journal of Computational Design Engineering is a fully open access, international journal that aims to provide academia and industry with a venue for rapid publication of research manuscripts reporting innovative computational methods and applications to achieve a major breakthrough, practical improvements, and bold new research directions within a wide range of design engineering.
